Terms of Service for the Brain Science Discussion Forum

Read the following rules carefully. By using this site you agree to abide by these terms of service (TOS). We reserve the right to make changes to these rules in the future. Your continued use of the Forum constitutes your agreement with this provision. You have the right to stop participating at any time. Otherwise, you acknowledge that the administrators of this Forum have the sole right to determine its contents.

1. The contents of all posts are the property and responsibility of the individual submitting the post. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of any comments posted in this forum. We will actively monitor the site for inappropriate submissions, but posts will NOT be screened for scientific or medical accuracy. No post shall be regarded as medical advice.

2. The posts represent the opinions of their author and are not necessarily the views of the community or of the Brain Science Podcast. Authors own the rights to their posts. Anyone wishing to quote a post elsewhere shall not do so without the express permission of the author.

3. If you feel a post is objectionable you may submit a complaint directly to docartemis@gmail.com, but you hold us harmless for any delay that results from the fact that we have to check and remove posts by hand. Also, we reserve the right to decide whether a post will be removed. By participating in this Forum you agree to hold harmless the Brain Science Podcast and its agents for any actions resulting from information posted on this site.

4. You agree, through your use of this site, that you will not use this community to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Brain Science Podcast and its agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).

5. Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are forbidden on this forum. Such posts will be removed and the posters will be subject to banning.

6. Be polite. Everyone should feel comfortable reading submissions and participating in discussions. We will not tolerate flames or other inappropriate statements, material, or links. Most often, a "flame" is simply a statement that is taunting and thus arbitrarily inflammatory. However, this also includes those which are libelous, defamatory, indecent, harmful, harassing, intimidating, threatening, hateful, objectionable, discriminatory, abusive, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or offensive in a sexual, racial, cultural, or ethnic context. Any behavior of this type will be grounds for banning.

7. Minors: a. You must be at least 13 years old to post to the Site. If you are over 13 years old but have not yet reached the age of majority, you must have your parent or guardian’s permissions to post to the Site. b. Never reveal any personal information.

8. You may place links into your signature and your posts, but please do so judiciously. Any links to inappropriate sites will grounds for immediate banning.

9. The goal of this Forum is to promote the exchange of ideas and to build a supportive on-line community. Everyone who listens to the Brain Science Podcast is encouraged to participate. Exchange between members of the Forum is also encouraged, but anyone who treats another member abusively or with disrespect will be banned.
